I'm looking to switch a relay in my 2006 Holden Rodeo 3.0L Turbo Diesel from my ignitions 'on' position, rather than from the accessories position. Just wondering if this is possible and if so, where i am likely to find a point where I can tap into the 'on' wire, or something that comes on when the key is in the 'on' position, eg clock, fan etc.
Thanks

Have you tried
the horn.
Or the A/Con.
Cheers.

If you want a wire under the bonnet try the wiper motor.
You should find a wire live with ignition on there.

Like Dru said, under the bonnet an easy spot is the supply to the wiper motor.
Or in the dash area you might find an "ignition" wire on the ignition switch. LOL

Gday
Try the fuse box, plenty of wires there that come alive when the ignition is turned on.

Better to take it of the Wiper motor and fuse it on its own.
Dont know about yours but on a Toyota it the blue with silver thats the wire you want on the wiper.
A multimeter or
test light will find it Just try each one and get someone to turn the key on.
