ECB Big tube winch model bullbar for Hilux, removing winch housing?

Hi guys,

I have a ECB alloy big tube winch bar on my 2009 Hilux minus any electric winches, i picked this winch enabled bull bar in case sometime in future i decide to add a winch but at the moment i just have Tirfir hand winch.

So the question is that the winch support housing inside the bar is heavy and not necessary for now, is it possible to remove it and leave the bar in but i'm concerned about the bar being held up by only two brackets if i did this.

The reason i am thinking of removing it is that its heavy and i have no suspension works done yet, not likely not for a long while as i am getting married soon.

Any advices?
