Greg and Jackie (WA)
Hi All,
We are leaving the
Gold Coast (06/09/11) and driving to
Silverton (18/09/11). As we are from WA, can anyone recommend any stops along the way (minimum stays of 2 days). We would like to use any 'Free' camping or National Park camping where possible. We will be towing a hard floor camper trailer.
Thanks in advance for your help and advice,
Greg and Jackie

It might help if you tell us which route you are taking.
Cheers

The route was one of the reasons we are asking for advice. We'll look into all the replies.

Hi Greg and Jackie,
For the trip down to
Silverton we are stopping at
St George,
Eulo (
free camp on the Paroo river), Noccundra (behind the pub), Camerons Corner (
bush camp somewhere near there) and then somewhere else between there and
Silverton.
Cheers Kev

Thanks Sir Kev and Darkie, we'll certainly look at it for starters. Maybe we'll see you on our way.

There is also a good
free camp in
Bollon, on the western side of town an the banks of Wallam Creek. Free hot showers in the main street across from the Pub.
Cheers Kev

Thanks Dave,
I was planning on just following my nose from Camerons Corner but may do that now :)
Cheers Kev
