For any members that may be heading to the Lochada Station, Boida area just be aware {We were not} that the
Karara iron ore mine in the area is affecting access to some areas. We were not able to get across the rail line to Omega track, which has had the best wreath flowers in past years. Also the power line on the south side of the road is not complete and may give the impression that Boida
campsite is closed but it is certainly open. There are probably ways to get on to Omega track if you know your way around but our mapping was not good enough for that.I rang DEC in
Geraldton and they were very helpful and in fact are there at the moment to look into the situation.Aparently there will be some access points across the rail line in the future. Camel Soak
camping area great for orchids, as
well as Orchid Ridge. Wreath flowers on Calver Road just north of Perenjori.Everlastings on mass just about eveywhere and Tag along tour at Western Flora caravan park with Alan great value.
Cheers Graeme and Deb.
