i'm looking to install an in-dash, double din radio/cd/gps/rev camera in my D22 Navara. i'm now looking at the Clarion NX501A and trying to do some research and find some reviews. would appreciate any input on this unit from any users and also any other
views and opinions on other models.
thanks very much

Hi
You could checkout VMS. They do a double din unit Also Polaris is another quality brand.

Hi! We installed the NX501A in our NS Pajero a couple of weeks ago. Very happy so far. Excellent integration across all facilities in the unit, and between the unit and our iPhones. Very good sound quality, and excellent navigation facility.
Just check whether if your car requires a replacement facia surround. Ours did, but the installer was upfront on this issue, so no 'surprises' when we got the account.
The installer has had support/warranty issues with the Polaris product, so no longer stocks/instals.
As usual, a 'horses for courses' scenario on what to choose - others may have a different view/experience.

Hi neil -
i reckon it looks like a very impressive unit, i'll definately ask about the facia. when i spoke to the installer they didnt mention anything but will ask again.
they also mentioned both the polaris and VMS units were not that good, but i took that with a grain of salt as they have CLARION emblazoned on their shirts and figure that they were just slagging the opposition... :-)
the VMS looks impressive but not worth the $$$ and a mate of
mine is having trouble upgrading his maps...
thanks very much, i appreciate the input!
cheers
