It's all good stuff getting out there and learning how our new gear works.
We just got back from our second short trip, 'stiil learning'.
We bought a used van with batteries and solar, and this latest trip i got to learn about the brake safe system.
Laying in bed watching telly and could hear this intermittent buzzing noise and occassional lines through the picture.
Noise took some finding, looking in all sorts of places and thinking all sorts of possibilities.
A flat battery in Brake safe unit and moisture in break away pin.
Luckily not too far from nearest town to buy a new battery.
All worth learning about before we go on our longer holiday next year.

had a fantastic couple of days, ended up going to Burrum Point campground on the southern side of Woodgate, did some beach work and got some fishing in.

Everything worked well and went to plan, had a sudden storm on friday arvo not long after we had setup but we coped OK, the kids had a ball and now have a new appreciation for their own beds i think ;)

off again in a few weeks : )
