Has anyone travelled the Kidson from Telfer to
Lake Auld then to the
Eighty Mile Beach this year, wondering what condition it is in and how long will it take, will be taking 10 vehicles along there in Oct,Thanks Watery.

Two years back and it's a pretty good run as far as remote outback roads go. There was water at
Razor Blade bore then but the other "watering"
places marked on the Hema maps were unserviceable. My sources tell me that it's still pretty much OK. Expect it to be lightly corrugated at the southern end, overgrown in many
places and washed away in others. In other words, you'll enjoy it.
If overnighting at Razorblade, pick up some firewood before you get there as it's a bit scarce.
This might give you an idea of what to expect.
Canning to the KidsonCentral Kidson Track
Cheers Mick

Thank you very much for that, we are allowing 3 days for that section, we normally drive 10 hours a day, after ten vehicles most of the bushes should be trimmed back, once again, thanks.

Had a great run on the Kidson Track from
Lake Auld to the
Eighty Mile Beach, took a day and a half, expect a lot of scratches from the overgrown bushes, plenty of washouts from recent summer rains, didn't need 4wd.
