My Hema Nav 5 died. Any Mac GPS users out there please.

We had 10 or so PCs in our bolt business we sold last year. I have used Apple™ Mac's for last ten years or so because when I got Photoshop 3.0 it was only ported to Apple computers, so widely used in graphic industries (publishing etc) so that is the road I went down and will always follow. Not into PC/Mac politics as we had both. Now, after all that above throw away stuff, I am in the market for one or two Mac (Lion) compatable windscreen mount 5" or above G P S units. If I run into trouble there I will take the easy way out and get a Apple™ iPad 2.0 with readily available software. Been kind of looking for an excuse to get an iPad anyway. Any ideas guys for a a little voice crying out in the wilderness of life.

Rocky, you deserve an iPad. I have a series 1 and it has completely replaced all the unwieldy solutions I previously employed (PC laptops with remote screens, touch screens, chinese GPS units with Oziexplorer, Mac mini with remote screen running Ozi with Parallels, USB GPS units, blue tooth GPS units) All replaced by a single device that also does music, internet, email etc as
well.
All we need now is an Oziexplorer app.
Meanwhile Bitmap and Memory Map fill the void.

Thanks E/Bob. You are right as I have given two GPS's to my tech son to do whatever with. Looks like he gets the Hema 5 also. I need an Camo case for the iPad 2 so my side kick does not take a liking to it. Your suggestions seem valid as you have already been down my road it seems. No doubt a Oziexplorer app is on the way. Thanks for being my virtual GPS and guiding me down the path to better navigation.Brian.

Jeez guys, you are training me up to be a real 'yuppie' and I am starting to like it. Not bad for a country hayseed kid that used to play with a stick horse (as
well as ride a real one to school at age six..pony) made out of a real stick.
