Hi folks,
We are attending a wedding in
Rockhampton in a months time and will be helping with the reception organisation at
the Woolshed in the Rocky suburb of Parkhurst. We will take the caravan and stay in Rocky for 4 nights. We have a c'park guide but will be guided any of your recent experiences. For example , One c'p lists its address as Bruce Highway. Does that make it very noisy ?
Thanks
Benny

Us to - stayed at the Southside Village for 4 nights, about a month back - very good standard of facilities - place would be 50% cabins now I guess - while the laneways are quite narrow and the corners a bit tight, we never actually came close to scraping anything on our 18' full height van. There is a
dump point in the grounds. Our site was extremely good - palm trees wafting to and fro - full grass coverage - $28 powered. The highway is right in front, and there is a multi track rail corridor just behind the park, but noise never became an issue. We'd go back there again easy (but it'll probably be all cabins next time :-o).

G'day Benny, If you are attending
the Woolshed there are two cara/parks just up the road about 100mtrs but unless they have changed I would not consider them.(contact me off
forum for explanation). There is a great park just off the "old" bridge"which is quiet and clean with reasonable rates called the Riverside Cara/park.It is a ten minute drive to the Historical Village where
the Woolshed is located. All the best and enjoy but remember Rocky drivers are very frightened of roundabouts and their cars dont have indicators. Snake.
