Interested in installing access doors to the outside of the van for underbed storage. A'Van with flat sandwich panel construction. Has anyone had experience with this material?

Any idea if it's feasible and what cost?

Hi Graham,

I not sure how many doors your talking about or how big your van is but cutting holes through the outside skin may weaken the structural integrity of the van and you could get fracturing and other such problems.

cheers

If you do all the corners in a curve & leave a reasonable amount of wall there should be No Problem & for the Doors you can buy pre made PVC or Alloy framed hatches, Camec Aust (www.camec.com.au) sell these for exactly what you wont to do & there is one that can use the panel you cut out as the insert 700mm x 305mm part No035451 so it all colour matches

good luck hope this helps
