Hi,
Just wandering if it would be safe to put an old/recharged car battery in a battery box.
It is unsealed one so am a bit concerned.
I probably would not carry in tHe car, just the garage or just short trips.

as long as the battery box & battery can breath/vent will be ok (same as used in most boats) but if fitted or inside cars cabin area that's a NO NO & illegal unless its in a sealed box & vented to the outside, beware of how you store in the garage as the gases from batteries can easily explode/ignite
good luck

apart from the explosive dangers there will be a huge corrosion issue as suphuric acid vapours will attack the inside of the vehicle.
