hi nannahelen
if the van is only 4mths old have you contacted the firm that you bought it off it should/could be a warranty problem
most of these lights are made in chin
could be just a faulty globe have you tryed swapping the globe with another one in the van to see if the replacement also flashes ???
this will tell you whether its a faulty globe or something bigger eg wiring etc hope this helps
cheers barry

i have contacted Millard, I am waiting for a reply, it is just one more thing in the myriad of things that have gone wrong with this van, it was either built on a Monday or a Friday (ref Ralph Nader), and is the original "lemon". I haven't tried another globe in the socket yet as it is tricky getting them in and out, a bedside lamp I bought from k Mart also started flashing, was replaced and the replacement started flashing, so I am concerned about wiring. Don't want an instant cremation just yet. Cheers

hi n/helen
hmmm sounds like a power/wiring fault
sorry to hear you have been sold a lemon it doesnt give one much joy or confidience to go anywhere under those circumstances
keep pushing for your rights and a resolution if i remember rightly the millard name has only more recently been re introduced on the scene after a long absence cheers barry

Helen
Flashing suggests low voltage. Try measuring the voltage with a meter. Is there a battery in the van? Is it charging? Does the battery in the van charge from the car?
Check the connection for moisture/corrosion etc. Is the voltage drop between car battery and van so great that the van battery doesn't charge?
