What is the condition of the highway between
Bourke &
Cunnamulla? We will be travelling it in the next 10 days and have been told it is a narrow dangerous road. We have a 23ft Caravan towed by a Nissan Navara.

Patricia,
Have towed my van down this road a couple of times. Last time was Sept last year as I have relatives who live in
Nyngan. My brother towed his 22ft van down that way eight weeks ago. A cousin from Dubbo towed his van that way two weeks ago. Neither even mentioned the condition of the road. It is sealed and so on . So unless some major unreported catastrophe has occurred I would sleep easy if I were you.
Regards
Jim

Patricia,
I have travelled this road many times over the last ten or so years, the last time towing a 23ft. caravan. I have never had any problems. The road has always been in very good condition, If you are coming from
Charleville to
Cunnamulla you may find the road to be narrow in sections & have very rough edges on the narrow sections.
That being said, you should have no problems anywhere. Just take care when meeting oncoming traffic, and as always, travel at a speed consistent to the road conditions.
Enjoy your trip.
Regards, Derek.

You can always use Google Maps street view the road. Here is a typical bit between the border and
Cunnamulla.
