Thought I've seen some crazy things out on the road, Till this Arvo!.
Travelling
home on a main arterial road, and came to a halt in a line of traffic. that appeared to be held up by a bus, or should say the rear end of a bus!, it appeared the bus driver executed a left hand turn into a side street only to fouled up having to stick his nose out onto the on comming traffic in that street, Three cars!!! that bunched up all wanting to turn left but where held up big time because of the flow of traffic at that time of arfternoon. All that two of them had to do was reverse back a tad and let the bus around. NOPE! the idiots sat there like stunned mullet oblivious to the chaos they were causing. especially to the ones that were trying to creep around the rear end of the bus, Dangerous Plus!
Cheers Tired cranky need a beer,
Axle.

G.day Axle
I hear where your coming from.
I do 50.000km a year on our roads & I could write a book about dumb things I see people do every day!
My wife supports people with mental issues & quite often they get into a car as the driver after a session & she comes
home & tells me that its frightening to think that this person is even allowed to have a drivers liscence. Makes you think about how safe your kids are out there on the road.
Its a privilidge NOT a right.
Cheers
Stu

Was watching some tv show the other night, can't remember which one, where it was talking about some of these bigger truck companies investing in cameras that records what the truck, as
well as the traffic around it are doing. The truckie always seems to get the blame. Maybe not now.
The system I have seen is only about $300.00. Might be a good investment in the event of some idiot that lost his common sense.

Couldn't agree more, AlanTH.
Perth drivers are the pits.
Recently there was a crash on the freeway and EVERYBODY was stopped. Bloke behind me starts flashing his lights and tooting his horn at me. Maybe he wanted me to fly, perhaps?
And tailgating has become a real menace. I recently had a school bus (of all things) tailgating me. I tapped the brakes to get him to back off, but he wouldn't.
My towball/hitch sticks out quite a bit. I'm thinking of putting a sticker on it saying: "This is much harder and stronger than your radiator."
Cheers, Tony

A couple of your replies Axle, show the reasons why I have often said that I wouldn't drive any car that mores than 12 secs to get to 100 or that doesn't have reasonable performance in others ways like low C of G good brakes and importantly good visibillity and 4wd capability.
There is always going to be some dumb/bad behaviour around have having better
tools allows you to cope better.
Sometimes we don't help ourselves much though , after coming across an ambulance recently that was blocked by traffic , and driver if front wasn't going to move - as was red light camera
junction.

I have a 93 Mitsi Lancer. In the process of tarting it up for the
young lad.
When it had hubcaps, stock exhaust and standard ride height, it went unnoticed in traffic.
Now it's lowered, a bit louder (not real loud) and has some factory alloys all of a sudden other driver's behaviour around me has changed. I haven't altered my driving style at all.
I even had a "senior" bloke I know cut me off (not realising it was me). When I quizzed him about it, his response was "I thought it was some
young .........er".
I'm starting to think that perhaps it's not just the
young drivers that are to blame, but also the older drivers with stinking attitudes.
I can't win. I drive the Lancer, I get labelled a hoon. I drive the Pajero and the anti 4WD mob crucify me. Then when I ride the Harley, I'm a delinquent.
Fab.

...almost forgot the truck. That cops a fair bit of aggression too because it won't do the quarter mile in less than a minute from a standing start.

Seems like it doesn't matter what you drive or what you tow, you'll never keep everyone happy.
Even push bikes and gophers are not safe from criticism.
