Just wondering if anyone has one of these Instant-up tents, and are they as easy to put up and put down like the promo video shows...We borrowed our sons 30second oztent and lol must admit it took us about 30mins, but we are of 'baby boomer' age, and some of these tents are a bit too complicated for us.

Well the toilet tents are certainly "instant up" but there must be some trick to getting "instantly down" and into it's bag. We usually end up all standing around it twisting this way and that and accidentally getting it folded… so never learn how to do it. And the instructions are even harder to work out than the tent!

If the sleeping tent is anything similar you will need to make sure you know how to pack it up!

Yep got one, haven't been camping with it yet so the test is does the single membrane keep out the tropical downpours?

I bought it cause it was Coleman and no other reason.

I put in up in the front yard without looking at the instructions with my 7 yr old daughter, it took as maybe 4 - 5 minutes first time.

But it is not easy, you have to pull the rods out to where their knuckle pops up through the out sleeve hole so it not like layout it out and lift like the Oztent, or so I thought that's what you do with the Oztent.

Taking back down takes some effort, well quite a lot first time, to get it back in the bag and I did work up a sweat.

My advice is you will have to test it out, or if you live in Brisbane you can borrow mine to test out.

Cheers

Paul

The one I am referring to is not a toilet tent, it is an 8 person tent with 2 rooms and a telescopic structure.

So it's not "instant tent" its classed, don't ask my why, as the "instant up tent" and there are youtubes for people putting it up.

Coleman claims 30 seconds and it does not need, or even come with, a fly.

hi guys

i have the blackwolf turbo tent which is quite large but its super easy to erect and to put down i can do it myself with in minutes. My husband has also a little rapid tent that he uses for short trips which we can easily fold away but that may be due to a little practic with similar kids products.

does any one know of a good case that we can keep our hunting gear in during our trips??

Karla,

Check Space Cases. All shapes & sizes, and are pretty much dust & waterproof.

I have a Coleman 6 man Instant Tent. Yes it does only take 1 minute to put up and then another minute to bang in the 10 pegs and only 2 minutes to pull down, roll up and put back into it's bag. I have used it twice now once it was very windy and the tent hardly moved and the second time it rained and no leaks (the tent was properly seasoned before the first use). It is a great tent with plenty of ventilation and packs up small enough to fit in the car.
Usual disclaimer, not associated with company etc. etc. just a happy camper!
