Thanks again Barry, is that the area behind Blechendyn (spelling) Park? I think there are some swamps in there. Your
spider orchids remind me of the Stirlings, the
wildflowers in there are just so amazing, I grew up with them but never tired of the number and array in the spring time. The
Cranbrook Bell and the Scarlet Banksia are two of my favourites down there. The
Cranbrook end of the Stirlings where the
Cranbrook Bell grows is the only place in the world where they can be found. I did try to grow a couple of plants in the back yard but to no avail, they lasted for a couple of years but the flowers weren't as rich in colour as the ones on the hills.
Here is a photo that I took of the plant in our garden. The colours are much brighter in the bush and the shrub itself is not so spindly
