G'Day all,
I have an 2010 D Max with nearly 11000k's, at first service i mentioned there seems to be an issue with the clutch shuddering on take off and asked them to check. There response was that it is normal for that model ? Any one had this trouble?

Hi Mark- as far as I am aware it is not normal. However to
test the water- ask(?demand) that they put their response in writing- shouldnt be a big issue- just put your comments and their response in writing on the service report invoice. If you have problems later on and they claim it is out of warranty- may make all the difference. doc

You do get a little bit of a shudder taking off under load or up a steep
hill or if you do a quick take off. I found you have to ride the clutch just a little longer to solve the issue. Mine has done it occassionaly for the last 110k. Cheers tony

Mar K1 - Was just thinking - Have you towed right from the start?
The first gear in the Rodeo is way too high for towing IMHO - It is a nightmare on steep inclines with a load, or if you have to exit on to a road into traffic. Its impossible on a
boat ramp and you have to put it into low (Thats why I now have FWHubs)
Maybe this has added to our issues? I have towed the boat in the early days and had to ride the clutch to get it moving. At some of
Brisbane's lights on their hills it is a real nightmare with a fully loaded slide off camper.
Cheers Tony

Mine has also done just on 11k and no clutch shudder. I think they are having a lend of you.The suggestion to get them to put it in writing is a good one, I reckon they wont be able to find a pen.
