Hi All,

I have a 105 series Toyota Landcruiser, that has slop in the steering. When I move the steering, there is about 20 degrees slop. It appears not to be any links.

Any way this can be adjusted out of the steering box?

Thanks

if it has a drag link on it then it is in the drag link, my hilux has same amount of slop in it.

they tend to wear out. if you get someone to turn the wheel from left to right far enough and you are looking then you'l see the drag link move before the J arm. you can't just wiggle it and expect to see any movement.

hope this helps.

Had the same problem with mine and had to replace the whole column.
Not a disaster, but it fixed the problem.
It was wear in the 'buffer'. No problems with the steering ball-joints, etc.
