Retreat Magnetic caravan

I have been looking for a second hand retreat magnetic caravan and found only one for sale to date. It is listed at $84500 and I was wondering if this is much below the price of a new one and if it would be considered good value for money.

Photographs look good and I have bit yet approached the seller. Wanted some advice before going further and would appreciate if anyone knows the new price.

Thanks

Perhaps have a chat to a Retreat dealer, one of them may have a similar model for comparison.

Before chasing prices you'll need to know exactly what extras have been added and what's included.
i.e. Does it have leather or fabric uphostery, solar panels, size etc. Off Road pack, awning walls, slide out BBQ, extra tunnel boot, ducted heating, hoese, leads, etc. etc.... Only then can you compare prices.
Cheers, Ozjohn.
PS> Good product by the way.

G'day Carlsp, we were also looking at the Retreat Magnetic recently, when we ended up getting a Roadstar LE instead.
The prices to us looked very similar, 2nd hand to new, the main difference being there was a very long wait for a new one.
As it turned out, we got a new Roadstar with only a 3 week wait, which suited us to the ground.

Thanks for the info so far. I should have been clearer in my outline of the caravan.

The van is 25ft, has an awning fitted, huge bathroom (more than 1/4 of the caravan) fitted with washer that becomes a dryer (7kg), cream leather L lounge and north south bed. No sloar panels and is a road van not semi off road.

I hope this helps. Interesting to know that there is a long wait for a new one as well.

OK then, it's a base van with no add ons.
Newer models all come standard with a battrey pack.
Check the new price with a dealer.
That way you will at least let you know if the one advertised is good value.
Ozjohn.
