Hi David,

If they're making you wait until 2012 insist it be a 2012 build or you might end up with a 2011 build.

I unfortunately have this issue.

I picked up my VDJ79 ute in February 2008. It was registered / compliance plate in Australia in 2008 but built in Japan in Dec 2007.

It is registered on paper as a 2007 vehicle. Not sure how to fix this.

Hi Serendipity

I think you'll find its too late. You needed to state it when ordering IE if delivery is to be 2012 then it must have 2012 build or I wont take it.

Dealers will reserve the current year build for those that stated this and for those that don't, they get last years.

cheers

Amazingly I noted the opposite problem on my last DRZ-400 trailbike.

Rego'd as 2007 but with jan 2008 build date.

It SHOULD be registered as the year model stated on the compliance plate

Last of the old model I believe soon to be replaced by the poverty pack 200 series. While not over endowed with features they may become a bit of a classic seeing relatively few were sold.

apologies guys, just the post came across arrogant. Might want to word it different next time david. Not everyone has a $60k+ vehicle to get them around in, my GQ does its best to stand tall in that crowd lol
