I currently carry our two bikes in the back of my Troopy, but its becoming a pain getting them in and out !
We also tow a caravan. Wondering if anyone has the rear spare wheel bike rack ? and if so in their opinion would the bikes hang high enough not to foul the caravan on turning corners ?
I have to order one in if I buy one, and then its too late if it is going to interfere with the caravan turning and hitting the bikes.
The picture on the Rhino rack site is not real crash hot.
Thanks in advance.

The biggest problem with carrying bikes outside any vehicle is that it isn't very good for the bikes. Dust, rain and the vibration does them no good at all.
I'd carry any decent bikes inside, only Kmart $100 jobs outside.

I have been using one for several years, without many problems. The only problems I have had are in relation to me having after market rear wheel carriers which stick out more than the standard does. (GQ Patrol)

Hey Hazo,
I'm using one of the Fiamma Carry bike spare wheel carrier bike racks. Can take two lighter bikes (wife's and my MtB's) and attaches to spare wheel just like a high lift jack (which is on the other spare wheel carrier). It's handy because we can open the wheel carrier and the bikes swing clear. We have only carried the bikes on normal W.A. trips, durability on any of our long distance interstate off-road touring trips would be a concern. It is constructed of light aluminium and only the attachment point is steel. Ground clearance is awesome and would clear the draw bar of a caravan no problem.
Cheers,
Ross.
