Has anyone stayed at the Nhill Caravan Park. If so, is it noisy from the trucks?

Gday
It can't be as noisy as the motel on the A74 at Gretna Green.

Hi Ann

It was five years ago that we stayed there for a night, and found it a very well appointed CP. It was a cold wet day and I did the washing while there; they had the most efficient clothes drier I have used. The park is long and narrow, so we went back beyond the amenities block so the trucks did not bother us. A nice walk around a dam with a bird hide next door, and Showgrounds the other side and behind it, so well isolated from the noises of town. No doubt it will cost more now, but at the time we found it good value and recommend the park if still the same.

My review: Nhill CP VIC: Flat, drive through sites. Very nice shower and toilet block. Big shower cubicles, separate bathroom for families with children. Laundry with a drier that actually works well - extremely hot. Playground, semi enclosed camp kitchen, cabins. In addition, a playground is adjacent. Between show grounds and a large nature reserve with boardwalk, swamp and lake. Phone box on street just outside camp was useful. Looked like majority were permanents or long term residents. Negatives:Bore water in taps at sites - not suitable for filling tanks; rainwater taps for drinking water only (limited supply). A truck parking bay was in front of the showground next door, so some noise from trucks. $22 for powered site. A very nice CP. 2006

Thanks for that, we will keep that in mind and keep our noise to a dull roar.
