Hi all,
I am Hoping someone may of had this issue and its an easy fix (here's hoping)
The air con in my D Max keeps blowing the fuse every time it cycles (replace the fuse air con works cycles off then when it cycles back on it blows the fuse) it only effects the air con the fan still works. I was hoping that it was a bad batch of fuses that I had but doesn't look like it.I have been and got some more fuses and no improvement, has anybody got any ideas.
one thing I have been disappointed with is the after sales service from the dealer I purchased the vehicle from and am really hoping not to have to take it back to them.

Lots of issues with the Blower Motor Resistor with these cars, not sure if that would cause your issue though. It may be worth a look. The resistor is under the blower fan at the rear. A couple of small screws from memory and you pull out the card.

May be worth a look

Cheers Tony

If your fan works on all speeds [1 to fast] then the fan is not your problem. I would suggest that you unplug the compressor clutch wiring plug from the compressor and see what happens. If the fuse DOSEN"T blow then you have a faulty clutch coil on the compressor. If this be the case then you will have to take car to an A/C shop to have the compressor removed, and a new coil fitted then regased. Hope this might help .

Been a D Max, Im presuming its still quit new and under warranty ?? Be buggered if I would be paying for anything I didnt have to be, pay enough to start with, as mentioned above remove the plug at the compressor and see what happens then when you turn on the a/c. If still happening and not under warranty Id be taking it to a sparki not back to the dealer (cause thats what they will do and charge you triple for it), if under warranty then Id be driving it back to them and ask them to fix it.................

Hi Guys
Thanks for the great info, bugger me I did some damage to the wiring to the lights on the bull bar last weekend while doing the Holland track. had Max in at Opposite lock yesterday to have the wiring fixed and this seems to have fixed the Air con issue, dont know why as Air con is on its own circuit but hay I am not complaining means I dont have to got back to the dealer.
thanks again for the help
