Hi all,
I am having a few problems finding someone in the
Perth area who can do service work on the above.
The unit is definately not charging the battery, it is almost 2 yrs old so it is not a warranty issue, Ray's (where I bought the unit) have no idea who
services them other than Coleman themselves, and I am not going to sent the unit to the East to be fixed, does anyone know of a service agent in the
Perth metro area?
Regards

Thanks Rockape,
I have tried a few of the dealers listed there, and whilst they are happy to sell the product, no one it seems knows where to send it for repairs.

Ring Coleman for the nearest repair centre. Sorry if that sounds obvious but if wasn't mentioned. See the link above for Coleman issues and the suggested fixes.

G'day Barry, We have a Coleman which is about 2 yrs old & had two prior to that. How old is the battery? If it hasn't been charged in over 3 mths chances are it's no good & won't take charge. Have you a second battery? If not go into Battery world & purchase an identical they are about $20. See how that goes. Coleman use to have 5 yr warranty so I guess that's gone now. When you phone Coleman ask the receptionist to put you through to the Technicians. They are very helpful. Try the second battery first. We had starting problem with ours & after speaking with a Tech. he told us battery must be charged for 24 hrs not like the instructions tell you. Hope this helps.

If you have run out of options and can test your charger is still working with a multi meter, I suggest you try this if your keen, and happy to have a go at repairing it (I have done it and replaced the fuse (after finding the fuse blown), resealed it and all is fine). After cutting the plastic seal with a sharp blade over the fuse area, I resealed the plastic cover over the circuit board with a hot melt glue gun. I got a replacement fuse at Jaycar.

Hiya Bazza
This is interesting to me,As ive had issues with Coleman stuff down here in Victoria and it always goes back to Rays, when the Coleman rep comes by he takes a look and generally fixes them,Ive never been asked for a receipt,So the warranty isnt an issue.Thats why i always buy the Coleman brand...
They stand by there products..

River Swaggie,
OH to live in Victoria, over here Rays dont wont to see the unit back in their
shop, and as for waiting for a Coleman rep, lots of luck, as far as I know we dont have one here in Wait Awhile.
I have rung the Coleman 1800 number at leats 7-8 times only to get the message "sorry we are having phone troubles, leave your name and we will get back to you", I am still waiting.
