Dash had the measles, so it was replaced. Now have a rattle (metallic) around the instrument cluster.

Anyone know how to remove the dash on a 2005 GU?

Cheers

I had a rattle I thought was in the dash but it ended up being the toll tag stuck to the window. I would have sworn it was in the dash. I'm not saying yours isn't but just sharing in case it helps anyone. Cheers Mike

I bought a 93 model 80 series 2.5 years ago and still chasing rattles in different places. I think the next one is in the gearbox = $$$$

It's not an 80 series and it's not near the gear box

Like in my 80 if you keep looking you will find it that's if it doesn't drive you mad in the mean time. Can you take it for a drive on a rough road with a pasenger holding different parts of the dash bracing or behind the instruments untill the rattle stops , you might at least find something that the rattle is conected to and then work from there.

Thats the best I can come up with

Hi Blue One,

I've also got a dash rattle, in a 07 GU, been there snce new, but couild never get it to be regular enough for Mr Nissan to find.

Dash also got replaced at the 3 yr mark with a bad case of measles, and since then the rattle has become a constant one, so next service Mr Nissan said they would fix.

Time will tell.

I fixed it with some advice from another forum.

Large screw driver with the end covered in duct tape. Insert the screw driver though the vent and give the duct a couple of jabs. There were a few loud cracks and now all is well.

I spent months looking for the culprit and it turn out to be a 5 minute fix.

Cheers
