CSR Well 15 Photo needed

Hi everyone,

Some of you may know I'm researching the history of the CSR.

With regard to Well 15 I am aware it was restored in July 1998 by Ken and Sue Maidment's Treks Across Australia along with a group of people. What I don't know is who was there with them.

The Maidments had a habit of fixing a plaque to each well they restored. In between the legs of the windlass in the photo below you can see the plaque. What I am hoping is that one of you out there happened to take a photograph of it. If so I would really appreciate a copy.

Many thanks in advance

Never rely on Mick O, goes all that way and forgets to take pictures of the most important bits!! :))
No matter I'm happy to help out with the requested picture.

Phil, this is also the memorial plaque at Well 15 although I'm sure you know of it. Mate every trip needs someone like John......to lift the heavy things. A bit like Gibson really, just don't give him a compass and make sure he's supervised at all times. Oh and NEVER, EVER give him a chainsaw. ;-)

Mick

Hi Mick and John

You guys got back in 7 mins and 19 mins respectively - you're a bit slow aren't you! Only joking.

Isn't it amazing how the EO family comes up with the answers - just fantastic.

And the info you've put up is exactly what I needed, many thanks guys.

No worries mate, as I said would have been done in one hit if frigging Mick had his stuff sorted properly.
Most disorganised bugga I have come across in quite awhile is our Micky :))

Thanks for the pics Bucky.

I hadn't thought of looking at the underside of the plaques; you almost got that for me as well - lol.

cheers

Hi Richard, thanks for the pic.

You're right, it is difficult to read the plaque. You guys over east must eat special carrots - lol.

I see some of the surface timbers have provided a few meals for Mr Termite!

cheers
