We left our daughters in Yorketown at 10.30 Monday morning (we are in no hurry to
get anywhere any more lol ).With our 2 grandsons not very happy for us to be
going
We where straight into a head wind all the way up the peninsula.Didn't do the
fuel econamy any good at all
Arrived at Mallala Sports ground early afternoon.
Lovely little town and so strange coming into a 6 way intersection
Very well kept sports oval. And Camping is still in the North East corner
Went to the local IGA which is very well stocked for a small country town & also
is the newsagency.
Barbara noticed the hotel on the other corner from the IGA and said she should
put $20 in the pokies, which i might add she turned into $60
Well upon entering the hotel the publican sayes to me that i look familar, i
said never been here b4,turns out he has a shack at Port Vincent where i was
chef for 10 years
Nice clean and very friendly hotel. The beer was nice and cold.First been in
weeks and probably be that long again lol .They have a $12 Tbone on Friday,$5
punters lunch on Saturday.Even said goodbye to us as we where leaving the hotel, even though they where busy behind the bar
We arrived back at the spots oval as a motorhome pulled up and asked if we ran
a genni as he does.I told him we only run solar and are selfsaficant. So he moved
away from us so not to disturb us which i thought we nice of him
Instead of unpacking the Weber babyQ from the back of the trol we used the
electric BBQ(free) near the tennis courts which where so clean your would think
it was new which it isnt
We will see what tomorrow brings we are staying a few days i think
Need to get Electol roll as on the road full time sorted

My RIG SETUP
2000 Nissan patrol St 3.0I GUII with 100W solar panel suppling a 100a/h battery
running a 39L Waeco
RoadStar Saphire Voyager 2006 22' front bed, center seperate shower and
toilet/ensuit
Centre Kitchen,U shaped loung at rear.150L 3 way Dometic fridge 400W solar
panels thru a Sun Saver Duo 25 running 2x 120a/h Fullriver batteries
Reversing cameras on both trol and van, setup
including to Sirocco fans which i wouldnt
be without.Other nic nacs to numerous to mention lol
Tomorrow we are leaving here to travel for the next 6 weeks to within 2 days of
Adelaide ,and free camp.Till we get the Specialist appointments out of the
way.Which is 5th December
Yesterday went to Electrol Commision and registered as no fixed address, ran out of time to buy National Parks
camping pass.will do that in the next week
I know there is many good camps in SA and surrounding Adelaide
But any you think is well worth the visit and free or close too lol, please let me know
The other reason for being within 2 days of adelaide is ,It's a good test to
make sure all systems are working well for the continuing trip
But i must say watching tv till midnight and having the radio on all night last night
And having the sunsave duo flicking mid morning makes me feel real good about the setup

Yes been a while since then
But back on the road now full time of "no fixed address" hahahahahh
Spent the last 4 years as Head Chef at Tanunda Hotel
( was at the Ventnor Hotel at Port Vincent 10 years b4 that )
but had to give it away to look after Barb .At one stage in her 9 weeks in hospital i was aranging her funeral and she was given the last rights. And as i said in my reply to Michael I now have bad Osteoarthrits so we take our time move when we like and as far as we like lol
Will try and get to a gathering or two now im free of any work contraints lol
Hope to catch up in the near future
We are just GREY NOMADS NOW lol
