Yep - there is more than one campground - when we took our camper into Lake Mournpool a few years back, we saw vans and a decent size motorhome in there. Nothing beats a call to the ranger's office though - they'll probably tell you exactly which spots suit your van best.

Hi Julio,

No problems at all, heaps of sites for any size van. The road/track in is good and other than the absolute peak period you would have no need to worry about availability of a site.

Sunrise over Lake Hattah.

About 60 kilometres south of Mildura on the Calder Highway. Hattah-Kulkyne stretches from the Calder east across to the Murray River.

Hattah - Kulkyne

Sorry all,

Lake Hattah is in the Hattah Lakes National Park in NW Victoria. Made up of the obvious lakes it also has Mallee woodland, heathland and is a superb spot for birdlife and wildflowers.

Julio, we were there last week, took our normal, full size 'van in, no problems. We were the only 'van at Hattah camp site but there were many more at Lake Mournpall.

We were at Lake Mournpall last week for a couple of nights, 6 vans. There was also a 4WD club with vans at the same area. Probably nearly 20 vans all up but not crowded. A few 2WD cars with campers and tents. The road from the entrance is fairly good but the road out towards Redcliffs is a bit corrugated.
