Hi All

We have arrived home safely after a fantastic trip into the Simpson Desert, we
would like to thank members Stephen L and Val & John for their trek notes
and blogs great info that we took with us, I will get around to writing a blog
I am very slack when it comes to doing that, have some great photos to share.
Now we are looking forward to a great weekend in the Pyrenees at the EO
gathering. Bonz let us know if you want a hand with anything, we hope to
arrive on Friday.
Cheers

Hi Matt & Julie

We are doing this trip next year and just wondering how much fuel you used and vehicles taken, I know the track will be different and everyone drives differently, but it gives us an idea.

Thanks in advance

Hi DC

We have a Nissan Patrol GQ 4.2 turbo Diesel, the other 2 vehicles were a
60 Series Toyota and a GU Patrol, I am not sure on how much fuel was used,
will check with Matthew when he gets home from work tomorrow, we do have a long range fuel tank, it is a great trip, our second but wont be the last.
Cheers

Hi dc
We did this trip which was a great trip in a 2010 L/C V8 TD ute,we used 135L from Birdsville to jervios. We didn't spend a great deal of time in the soft river bed sand which would contribute to more fuel if we had of.

Hope this helps with your planning

Hi Julie

Great to hear that you had a great time and looking forward to your blog and great photos. As you would be aware, we have travelled the Simpson many times and if you ask Fiona and I, the Hay River trip for us personally would be the best Simpson trip that you can do.

Cheers

Glad to see you have been away again and had a good trip. Unfortunate Betty & I cant make it to the Pyrenees this year, looks like there are quite a few going so should be a good weekend.
