I was doing a bit of ebaying as you do and came across this slimline AGM battery. I have always thought bigger was better in battery case size.
Just wondered if this where as good as a standard size case battery of the same rating and if anyone had them or tried them or even heard of them.
I don't want to be the guinea pig, but would be great to fit 2 x 100Ah batteries in the van.
Has anyone got any technical questions I should ask.

I don't have any connection to this mob, they are in
Geelong and I am in
Brisbane and I would try to buy in
Brisbane first before paying the freight costs to get them up if they where any good that is.

The battery still weighs 32KG so I see no reason why it won't be identical to the normal shape designs. The plate design on this battery has been changed to a slimline. Having said that I haven't heard of this manufacturer and one should take the brand into consideration. Reason being we have lots of people on these forums that have used certain brands and had success, long term reliability etc. Some of the battery experts on these forums may assist you with more information on this brand?

Here is a link to the maker, it's listed as a 12 year model battery. It's design was specifically for rack mounted applications however the seller sees them suitable for general use as
well.

These batteries are designed for telecommunications use where they are on charge for 99% of the time and as Terrafirma says they are rack mount format.
These have usually been removed from the site after 7 years and sold on ebay, it is a lottery as to how long they will last.

Battery's come in many shapes and sizes, when we design battery systems we will choose the battery first by capacity and then by size unless the size is the determining factor.
Some some systems we may only need 100Ah but find the 140Ah battery fits better.
The big thing to look for is weight.
Can't tell you much about he brand.
You might want to have a look at this site in
Brisbane.
