Gidday all,
Have bought a set of Tough Dog shocks for my ute, front and rear. I notice that there are 2 different serial numbers for the rear. Is there a right and left shock?
Numbers are FC41350 and FC41377.
Can not contact Tough Dog as it is after hours and I am impatient to get the dam things on!
Vehicle is a Hilux 2003 duel cab turbo diesel
Cheers
Greg

G'Day Greg
Just checked the 4 Way
Suspension site by googling those two part numbers.
If i read it correctly. Looks like the FC41350 is for the OE
suspension & the FC41377 is for a 50mm lift. I hate to say it but I think you have two different shocks.

Hope I'm wrong, but thats what it looks like to me.........

Greg,
Without confirmation I would not put them on if I was you. It does not make any sense to have two serial numbers.
Different serial numbers means there is a difference somewhere between the two

Have put them side by side and there is a difference in length. Hope there is a simple answer. I have shot them an email. I'll await a reply.

Would it be 50mm difference?
I'm betting you have been given a mismatched pair. One Std & One for a 50mm lift...............
BTW I have the Tough Dog foam cell shocks on my Patrol & like them alot. Have has other brands over the years on different vehicles but very happy with the TD.
Hope you get it sorted without too many problems..........

Yep it is 50mm. On the box they arrived in, the box is marked as one of each. As above I'll await the reply tomorrow.

Have received the reply and all is good. The longer one on the left and the shorter one on the right. They have been designed to be fitted this way. Will put them on tonight.
