After a hectic winter the Boss has finally given me a long weekend off and she who must be obeyed has agreed we can head away for the weekend provided we don't have to pitch a tent.
Thinking about heading down
Dargo way but not having been there before am unsure about where to stay at short notice. Must be cabin or motel style as the tent is not coming.
Has anyone any recommendations or experiences of
places to stay in this region.
Thanks in advance for your help.

I think there is a caravan
park with cabins a few Kms south of
Dargo.
Try here:
Dargo Caravan
Park. Address Main Road,
Dargo, VIC 3862. Telephone 03 5140 1221. Telephone (Evening) 03 5140 1221
Ring first to make sure that I am not wrong.

I have stayed at the motel a few times and it is very nice. A couple of minutes walk to the Pub and
shop.

Interesting track.
I am not sure what you drive. But if its "capable" take a drive up Crooked River Road (west of Wonnongatta CP) and then swing up (I mean UP) Billy Goat Track to
the Pinnacles. Was a good climb and a good
lookout. Personally I would not do it in the wet.
There are a couple of good picnic spots along the Crooked River. Worth a drive up to Dungeys Hut as
well.
