We went down Mt Sunday Road to Wren's Flat at the weekend and apart from being overgrown in
places and having one tricky spot where a fallen log stretched most of the way across the road, it was easily navigable. However I imagine it would be a lively ride with any moisture around. The Rooftop map of the area does say impassable after heavy rain. Has anybody else been down it recently and if so, how badly was your vehicle scratched.

Not recently Keith.
We did try to get there from the other direction as per thread 73528 but it simply proved to hard on the car - but dents are knocked out now - and have been thinking about trying again in next few weeks ,
the loop really is a great trip and worth a few scratches.

Hi Robin.
Read your thread. Puts my being worried about a few scratches into perspective.
Very brave decision to turn back when you had gone so far and all your inclinations are to push on. But under the circumstances very wise.
The Mt Sunday road now would be a piece of cake compared to that, unless it rained in which case you would be going very, very slowly. In fact I wouldn't be going at all.
Cheers
