hi all
have been researching the
Mansfield to Harrietville trek on explor oz as a possible trip to do over school holidays at Christmas time, can any one who has travelled this trek please advise if an off road camper could be towed over the treks entirety. thanks pickles.

It's possible to tow a camper via that route but would ultimately depend on the camper, the tow vehicle, the tyres, the drivers experience in steep terrain, the river depth & of course the weather. Difficult sections can be Zeka spur, the Wonnangatta river, Wombat spur, Caledonia river & obviously no one tows up Blue Rag normally leaving them on the
Dargo rd.
The High Country is not a good place for people not familiar with the area to tow as when the weather turns bad you need to know which alternate tracks are safe to use & is why I recommend base
camping.
