A friend of mine has just come back from the Canning Stock Route Project at the Convention Centre and says it is absolutely fantastic. Only on until November 29th, totally free and a wonderful mix of aboriginal art and culture, West Australian history, modern interactive techniques to display it mixed with the traditional, suitable for all ages. Whilst I am almost immune to the news and what's going on around me (LOL) I can't believe that I didn't know of this. Anyone else been or going?

Michelle

Saw it when it was at the Australian Museum Michelle. Excellent. Someone put up a thread about it at the time. Don't go expecting a traditional 'European' take on the CSR.

We were lucky enough to come across the team of artists and crew at Well 36 when we were heading up the CSR in 2007. We spent a few hours watching the painting work on some of the large pieces and filming of interviews. The whole collection has been purchased by the Museum of Australia. Pleased to see it's now on national tour. Get a copy of the book - a great coffee table item.

Hi Peter
I went to the exhib. in Perth the other day and agree it was terrific.

I also like the book but what you failed to mention in saying it is a great coffee table book is you need to reinforce the coffee table because the book weighs a ton - lol.
There is a lot of difference between
‘Human Being’ and ‘Being Human’.
