I get 400 before it says empty but they have a habit of faulty guages/senders. Fill it to the brim and work out your milage and I think you will find that as with mine when it says empty you have 200km left. I have a 65lt tank and I use between 9 and 10 litres per 100 km

I get 470/500 duelcab 30x9.5x15 tyres. I do thump it along though.
3500/4000 rpm gear changes.

I have the 3 litre non turbo with a 115 litre long range tank. I get between 900 and 1000kms from each tank regardless of where I drive. 99% of my driving is in the country so it is probably a bit more economical. I have 31x10.5x15 Yokahama AT tyres which are a bit oversize. The trye change slowed acceleration a bit but lifted economy a bees dik.

I am also contemplating a Turbo. A bit worried about clutch and gearbox problems as a result.

My mate must have put this thread on when i was at work!!!
I have a 2.8 hilux deisel and get 9 - 10 l / 100 km. Depends how hard i push it.
On the high way if you sit on or below 100 - 110 km/h economy is good but above 110 for long periods it goes down hill - fast
did a trip to melbourne a few years ago - air con on and doing 110km/h fuel economy was 12 - 13 l / 100 km but below 100km/h 10-11l/ 100 km (with air still on)

am getting about 11 to 12 l/100ks out of 3litre t/d, city and country, no load and standard tyres, thought it would have been a little more economical

Regarsd your 3L series 2.8lt Hilux. I put a DTS turbo on mine a few years ago and I have not looked back. If you email me with your mobile number I will be glad to pass on the experience. Take too long to write everything. My email is huge_appendage@swiftdsl.com.au
Dont forget the underscore. That is a temporary address to stop the crack pots.

The same will apply to the 5L 3litre as they are similar engines.
