Dear all,
My navigator has given me a project and I need your help! A slide out kitchen is required for our camper trailer. Any thoughts about what works and what doesn't? We will probably leave the gas cooker to use on the folding table as we usually
cook on the open fire. The kitchen needs be good efficient storage and preparation areas. Any mud maps, photos or suggestions welcome.
Regards,
Slim.

Some days we are the flies; some days we are the windscreen.

Hey Slim,
I found the best way to get what would suit your needs is to go to as many 4WD and
camping shows as you can and get lots of brochures with pictures of kitchens, visit as many camper web sites as possible, ask around (as you have just done), then put the best of the ideas together and build what you want.
Cheers,
Barry.

Hi Slim,
Was it you asked a similar question on the WA campertrailer list? If so, see my answer there. If not, let me know and I'll post it here.

I needed the same thing prior to going away for 6 months with the 3 kids in May. I was advised to speak to Ian Oake from Ridgetop Trailers. Ian now owns Opposite Lock at Brookvale on (02)9939-5133.
The kitchen was marine ply and was cheaper than most. We were very happy with the job and after a ggod wask it came up like new (nearly).
Ian knows his stuff and would be a great help.

Another thing worth thinking about if you have the time is to have a look at some of the second hand campers for sale. Some people come up with some great ideas that you may
well never see otherwise, and they can tell you if it worked for them as
well, or not.
