David does a fantastic job and it is appreciated by all here on EO and we all know just how frustrating it would be at times.

Rather than give Adele annual leave, you should have given it to the gremlin so they are not aware that there will be changes on the way....LOL.

Oh gee, thanks for your support everyone! I didn't even expect a reply. It's so nice to read these pleasant comments. Yes, its been many years of dedication and hard work but it would all be for nothing if not for you - you guys have made the site what it is today and will always be very much a site that evolves around your feedback.

Unfortunately Heather, the only chocolate here was cooking chocolate, but I took your advice and ate it! Oops!

Gee she has put the pressure on! It is not a new site as such just a major layout facelift and and completely rewritten shop & classified system. I will get the bulk of the updates installed later this week and will continue on some areas after the updates are installed - yes it is exciting and once it is installed check out the shop & classified systems as the forum, blogs and other areas will move more towards this screen layout.

Some of this update is related to better mobile device support but really I will tackle these updates more once the initial update is installed and over the next month or so. Yep month or so it does take along time to effect change over more than a quarter million pages of content.

On request though.... sorry to do this. Can you get the search engine working properly in the Forum home ..... neither the text or screen name search return consistent results. For example, a search in the screen name only returns the name if the poster is the OP, not any subsequent posts on the thread, and the text search isn't working for literals "..." or conjoined searches. Went looking the other day for some comments I'd made about OzTents in the archive .... gave up in the end in frustration.

I too look forward to seeing the new changes, on another subject have you thought about an App for Iphones, one where people could get road reports , Weather, and other Outback information.
