Interstate camper purchase

Hey All
just wondering if anyone has any tips/experience related to purchase of a second hand camper interstate and pick up or delivery. also interested in methods of payment/deposit to hold. any advice would be helpful. thanks in advance

Best way is to get as many photo's sent first... secondly drive/fly and have a look before parting with any money.
Don't get someone else to look at it for you....... the person you get may have different
views on whats good and bad compared to your
views.
Paying is the easy thing.... bank cheque.

Deposits are a fact of life in these sorts of cases and let's face it the majority of transactions go through ok.
But, never pay a deposit that is more than you can afford to lose.
Even if it's written down subject to inspection on pickup, the seller still has your deposit and you're relying on their good nature to return it if the camper doesn't measure up.
I never put a deposit of over $100 as it's a figure I can afford to walk away from if it all turns pear shaped.

( ... and don't forget NSW has 'stamp duty', new or used, if u register vehicle there. It aint pretty ).
