In Wollongong, for the last six years,a local morning breakfast announcer and his on air partner have organised a Truck Convoy each November. It is mainly to raise money for Camp Quality but also engages the children and their families in various ways to be involved. This year they raised over $600,000.00. There are two catagories, Bikes and Trucks. Many of the children and their families are able to ride in the convoy which gives them a break from all their treatment they are enduring. There were over 500 bikes and similar truck amounts that left Cordeau Dam, travelled Picton rd down through Wollongong, out south through Windang,Warilla,on through Oak Flats and finishing at the Croome Rd sporting complex to a host of entertainment and displays. There is a telecast this afternoon on WIN at 5.30pm in the eastern states which should be worth a look. I hope it continues over to the west as well. Just a heads up in case your interested. Cheers,Bob
