sorry people another solar question

hi all
i have the solar panels and an mppt reg
i have an anderson plug to the caravan from the pajero
conected to the 120amp battery in the van with inline fuse both ends.
i plan on fitting the reg in the van near the battery(more power ive read)
and solar panels have anderson plug so i can conect straight to van
will there be any issues when i conect the pajero to the anderson plug
on the van that goes to the solar reg then to battery when driving so the car is charging the van battery but through the solar reg,
or do i have to run another anderson plug set up just for solar
when stopped.
hope its not a confusing question
thanks heaps and cheers

Hi numberone,

make all pos/neg pairs terminate at the aux battery.
That way everything is wired in parallel: alternator, starting battery, solar regulator (through battery connectors), and aux battery.

Depending on the brand of solar regulator, the internal low battery cutout function may not work though, for loads which have a connection between negative and chassis ground.

cheers, Peter
