Gday...
I had a 2006 Terracan - CRDI diesel auto. Had it for 3 years - covered 54,000km absolutely trouble free and I loved it. Only traded up to Discovery 3 because I tow a 2600kg tandem van. I had Cruisers and HiLux previously.
Down side - very little after market gear. Limited dealer network (especially in WA). If serious off-roading would need some
suspension work. (
mine was standard and copes quite
well in easy offroad - but I gave up testing myself in the Victorian High Country a while ago).
Cheers
John

I recall reading a poll when I was researching Terracans some months ago .
The poll asked for responses on the
forum as to who had had an injector pump replaced under warranty.
It was almost unknown in WA but about 20% of respondents in Qld had to have their injection pumps replaced before around 100-110KK.
There was a lesser number in Victoria but still significant AFAIR.
There are a couple of caveats that this was on a
forum, and replacement of injection pumps is usually caused by
water contamination of fuel.
However I would be asking the question as to whether the car has had any issues with the injection , and or whether the pump has been replaced as if not under warranty , I understand the cost is $5K plus.

I have 2006 CRDI Terracan, and it has now done 103000 k's.
I tow 1800 kg van and the fuel economy towing is 8 km pr litre.
I find that exellent, and so far i have had no trouble. "love that car"

Thankis to those who replied. Now having RAC test done tomorrow and will see what happens. Have asked about the fuel injection - no reply as yet. Did have a reply on parts availability and was told
"....the only thing you could say to the customer is that the Parts Supply
for Hyundai in Australia is quite good.
Customer may experience some delays on slow moving parts that may not be
stocked in Australia, in this case Hyundai would source the part required
from Korea.
As per pervious email - some accessories may not be available."
Any comments?
Jessem
