Hi there

After 9 months in our caravan touring over 30,000kms of this wonderful country, we have pretty dusty & grotty units. Can anyone give us any hints on how to clean these. They seem to have lots of plastic coverings, blades etc, but we can't seem to find any way to dismantle the units to be able to clean them properly. We had a go with a compressor and this dusted them, but they still need some tlc with hot soapy water or similar.

Any hints would be appreciated.

Hoi Ian.
No cleaning tips.
Your write up here did make me think of a Simon and Garfunkel song though.
Feeling groovy, with the words "slow down you move too fast"
It's a great country. take your time.

cheers

Case, I can assure you that we don't usually do this many km's in a year. However, it is nearly 13,000kms from our place to Broome return, so you tend to clock up lots of kms just getting to a place, before you add on all of the additional touring. We also had family commitments in 4 states this year which involved back-tracking at times.

We had 9 years in a camper trailer seeing Australia properly before going soft and opting for the off road van. We haven't let that impede our adventure though - have had it in some pretty remote places too which is good. Our experiences in the Ultimate gave us a good idea on where we can and cannot go back to with the van. We are good at manouvering, squeezing and reversing.

After 250,000+ kms in 11 years, we still haven't seen more than about 20% of this wonderful country I am sure. We always advise our friends to take it slowly and see one area properly, instead of trying to cram too many things in to too many kms.

We totally agree, this is a great country!!

Hi Ian, and thanks for the reply.

Glad to read that we are on the same page. Keep enjoying the land of Oz. We will be back again in April for another 6 months stint.

cheers, Case, Tauranga, NZ
