Anyone purchased a blower for a petrol ? just interested on what brands are available . I am sure Truckster will have a mate somewere with a good deal on one

Vortech make centrifugal superchargers (basically a belt-driven turbocharger) that are available with many different trims to suit different applications. Apparently their compressor maps are easier to get your hands on compared to the positive displacement types, making the task of matching the supercharger to your application a little less of a 'black art'.

Go for a roots type or screw as they are a positive pump and dont suffer from over run and lag.

Melbourne were doing the conversions a while ago using the Kazuma blower marketed by TRD in the states. Bolts straight onto the 4.5 as a kit

Failing that i know a few guys in the states that would be happy to box up a kit and send it down under. From memory 2700 us was the going price.
