Hi I see a lot of iPad mounting kits on Ebay from $10 to $100 plus.
Some floor mount and some suction cup type.
Anyone found a particular brand one they would recommend?
Cheers

I ordered a suction cup ipad2 mount from Amazon. Worked a treat on our 5 week trip into Arnhem Land.

Not sure the brand, but it was about $20 delivered.

I got a clicon set up for the IPAD.
It turned out a bit expensive as I had to buy an extra bit, to allow the mount to be easily removed.

I got it from

or just search ipad car mount in google

I will try and put up a couple of pics if you like.

Ok the clicon coonsists of two parts, the bit you are asking about is the car mount I think.

You buy one unique to the car.

For my pajero there are two mount points, you buy one or the other.

I bought the console mount

It fits on the dash and is held by clipping it on to the dash , sorry very hard to explain but easy to do. If you like I can put up a pic of instructions

I will try and get a pic of mine. The one I took was a bit dark and so did not publish.

There is no screws involved.

You put the ipad in the holder then attach to this car mount

If you just get these two bits then the ipad holder is screwed to the car mount.

I got a quick release adapter as well which allows the ipad holder to be removed from the car mount

Note I put some rubber strips to help keep it a bit firmer

Here is the ipad mounted, not a good pic sorry. I will get a better one if you want.

Hi old fella,

I have my Ipad mounted in my cruiser with a ram mount it bolts on to one of your seat mounting bolts, found it to work well,. does not block your vision through the windscreen.

You can bring up the ram website and it will give you all the details.

Hope this helps,

Warren

Thank to all for your input. The suggestion re using a floor or cup mount set up so as not to restrict vision is well worth considering.
Thanks again.
