I did a try out of the VMS 700HD in my car as I was keen to get it for GPS plus reverse camera but it was extremely hard to see the screen during daylight. If you have a spot in your car where the screen is protected it will probably be a good unit BUT if not then it doesn't matter how good the reverse camera etc is if you can't see it.
BTW I didn't buy it in the end. Still waiting on a 7" unit with a decent daylight readable screen and rear cam in...when/if I find one I'll buy it.
