There is no doubt that the cheapest van tow vehicle would have to be a used musso. Can anyone with experience comment on these forgotton trucks.

We rented 1 a few years ago to tour the Sth west of W.A & found it quit good, it was the model with the Benz motor.Regards Bob

Cannot comment from personal experience but my ex next door neighbour has one , he told me the other day the diff blew up and it cost him $2000 for a second hand unit.New unit was months away. apparentlly they use a mickied up Dana unit.also someone has captured the market on any wrecks so second hand bits are scarce and expensive.
He still likes the truck(used for towing not offroad) and isnt sorry he cancelled the order on his 100 series.
apparently its reasonably economical and his missus likes driving it.
