As the 47 only came with side facing rear seats on some models (3 seaters didn't) you will require full engineering for any rear seats to be legal as there will be no captive nuts/mounts for
seat belts or seats.
You would be best to approach one of the companies that fit rear seats to vans as they may be able to help you.
I doubt whether anyone will provide engineering for side facing seats as per the original 11 seater setup unless yours was originally an eleven seater and has all the necessary seatbelt and
seat mount attachment points.
Bear in mind that if you go over 8 seats then the RTA may classify it as a passenger carrying vehicle and require bi-annual rego inspections and charge a lot more for rego as
well.

Julian,
I converted my 11
seat Troopy to 3 seats in NSW - the option was to have quarterly inspections by the RTA as with 11 seats the Troopy was considered a bus, and buses are inspected quarterly. It's now registered as a panel van. This was an easy process. Just remove the excess seats and have an engineer check the result - yep, 3, and do the paperwork.
As Peter says going from 3 seats to 11 may be much more difficult due to lack of mounting points, though if the same body panels were used to manufacture both versions, they may already be there.
Suggest talk to RTA before the project goes too far. You may decide it's not worth the effort.
Cheers
John
