It looks like nearmap is finally moving away from the cities with their aerial photography. Apparantly in the next few days these areas will be available in the coming days
•
Pristine Barrow Island, home to the $43 billion Gorgon Project, creating the first ever 5cm resolution PhotoMap of the entire island.
•
Karratha,
Dampier and the
Burrup Peninsula at 5cm resolution, showing in stunning detail the development across this thriving community
•
Development projects at the
James Price Point Gas Precinct and
Onslow's Ashburton North facility, home to the Wheatstone project, at 7.5cm resolution
•
South Hedland,
Port Hedland, Roebourne,
Cape Lambert and
Broome at 7.5cm resolution
At the moment the only area with high res in that region is Carnavon

My observation has been that Nearmap is concentrating where development is taking place, so those out of the way
places will still not be covered. After all Nearmap is a commercial operation.

Yes, they're obviously going where they're likely to make the most money first, but hopefully they'll spread out to the more remote areas with time.
