WAECO CF 60

Thanks Athol and Ray Mc of WA in there reply to my query of the above. Ray this is directed at you primarily . I contacted a repair agent in my area about having the waeco repaired and he told me that his base workshop charge is $50.00 + parts when I explained the fault he said that it could possibly be that the touch pad buttons were sticking and to bring it in & would take a week to look at it. But thinking about it I decided that I would have a look at it myself so I removed the 2 screws that hold the touch panel in place in the internal sealing lip near the dairy compartment then the 3 screws that hold the printed circuit board to the touch pad assembly with the unit turned on I pressed the tabs on the circuit board where the buttons normally would engage and Hey Presto all worked fine I reassembled and it is working OK so may be yours will be the same and could save you $$$ if you did the same.

That is if you haven't already had it looked at in Perth

Keep cool.

Hey Kelvin, I had the exact same issue ages ago with my 60L Waeco. Same old story with the service fee and decided I'd hit at it myself. I found removing the adhesive colourful gauge sticker the top and resolved it permanently. It must become less malleable over time and started to press all the buttons down. I've just covered the buttons with some clear tape to keep the innards clean.

Don't know about a nicer solution than sticky tape but it's worked fine.
